A nest is never just a nest. It's the place you built when you decided to stay.
I woke up one Sunday morning with a burning NEED to paint a nest. But it’s more than that… it’s the symbolism of it all. The last of my children will be leaving my nest shortly, and it’s got me thinking about what they’ll take with them and what they’ll leave behind, what the nests they make for themselves will be like, and how I still consider my parents’ home, “home”, even though I’ve never lived there.
The flowers are symbolically “Toowoomba” and the feathers represent players in your family story.
