Guided Urban Sketching Walks in Toowoomba
No experience necessary!
Get curious and see the world through the eyes of an artist
Coffee first.
We start in a local coffee shop. Friendships are made and sketchbags are unpacked. Your Sketch Host will demonstrate how everything is used and you’ll fill the first two or three pages of your sketchbook. This ‘accidental learning’ is the best!
Then we sketch.
We walk, we look, we draw. It’s Toowoomba so there are usually some gorgeous flowers, but of course there are also heritage buildings, cute laneways, and stunning murals. We truly have extraordinary sketching subjects at every turn.
You’ll surprise yourself.
Your Sketch Host will look after you from the first mark to your last (probably 6th!) sketchbook page. There’s never any pressure, just encouragement. And you’ll be taking that sketchbook home with you… alongside the enthusiasm to fill it! (Message me when you do!)

Every sketch walk is a unique experience. As locals, we know the best spots - from hidden laneways and grand heritage facades to the quiet beauty of Toowoomba's famous parks and gardens.
Rather than offering fixed routes, we plan each session around the weather, local events, and the best light of the day to ensure you get the most inspiring location possible. There's always a reason to come back and see the region through fresh eyes.
