This artwork is inspired by the amazing landscapes of Wayne Thiebaud, a Californian artist that literally blows my mind every time I look at his work. He inspires me to paint landscapes in a more risky way and include the passage of time in the shadows. It actually reminds me a little bit of San Francisco, but really, it can be wherever you want it to be.
I also love the colours of Emily Powell, so was inspired by her pink skies and Ken Done’s beautiful bright pastels as well.
This original painting is painted with artist-quality acrylics on lovely thick pastel paper and is totally ready and easy to frame. I hope you absolutely love it!
