About 15 years ago I went on a poppy painting bender.

I painted SO MANY POPPIES.

Big canvases. Small canvases. Acrylic and watercolour and sketches. I couldn’t get enough of their papery fragility and colourful impermanence.

I bought them from the flower market - buds closed, and loved that within 2 days they had burst forth to reveal themselves.

Painting this artwork, ‘Poppies to Remember’, took me back to that lovely time.

Painted with artist quality acrylics in my Cabin studio here in Toowoomba.

Measuring 30×30cm on a 3.5cm deep gallery stretched, custom made canvas with metallic copper painted edges. This canvas can be framed by a framer if you choose.

Pickup from Toowoomba, or delivery at cost.
